Team Event Rules

  1. Each team should have no more than four (4) bowlers and MUST have at least 1 female bowler.
  2. Elimination Round: Each bowler will play three (3) games.  No substitution of player(s) will be allowed once the games have commenced. The team score is the total of the scratch scores of each member of the team.
  3. Final: The top 16 teams from the Elimination Round will play another round of 3 games which will be added to the team totals from the Elimination Round to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Therefore a cumulative total of 6 games will count towards the Team Event total.
  4. In the event of ties, a 2-frame roll-off will be used to break the deadlock.

Singles Event

  1. The result of the individual performances in the Team Event Elimination Round will determine the participants of the Singles Event.
  2. The top 16 male and female bowlers with the highest 3-game series will advance to the Singles Events.
  3. The Junior bowlers can also qualify for the Singles Events.
  4. In the event of a tie for a slot in the Singles Event, the bowler with the lesser difference between their highest and lowest games in the Team Event Elimination Round will advance to the Singles Event.
  5. If there is still a tie after rule 4 above, a two-frame roll-off will be played between the bowlers involved.  A two-frame roll-off is like playing the 9th and 10th frames of a game.  The bowler with the higher score after the two-frame roll-off will be declared the winner of the roll-off and will advance to the Singles Event.
  6. The individual scores from the Team Event Elimination Round will be carried forward to the Singles Event.
  7. Each bowler will play another 6 games in the Singles Event and this will be added to their 3 games in the Team Event Elimination Round.  This effectively means that the Singles Event is based on a total of 9 games .
  8. Bowlers will play 2 blocks of 3 games, with lane assignment determined by their individual finishing position in the Team Event Elimination Round. 9. In the event of a tie for the top three positions, a two-frame roll-off will determine the winner of the tie (as per rule 5 of this section).
